(06-17-2011 10:08 PM)Flamel Wrote: With total bill of over $1k Hmm, the picture in the article is misleading. It shows a mud crab but actually the expat ordered a king crab and lobster. Also boat quay is in a prime area, rent not cheap. Not sure if they are jacking up the prices coz of foreigners or if it's a standard pricing they used all the time. Price fluctuations of seafood is also well known in the restaurant industry. Disclosing prices when customers don't ask may scare away diners. So I don't think there is a CASE against the restaurant, to me I think diners have to know or at least ask if they are worried about being overcharged, and I think it applies to anyone anywhere in the world. It would be egoistic and ignorant to assume, and only to kick up a fuss after eating. |
